Jagjit Kaur (May 1930–15 August 2021) was an Indian singer associated with Hindi and Urdu film music. She worked as a playback singer and was active between the 1950s and 1990s.
She was associated with songs in films such as Shagoon, Dil-e-Nadan, Kabhi Kabhie, and Umrao Jaan. She collaborated frequently with composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, whom she married in 1954.
Her work included songs such as “Tum Apna Ranj-o-Gham,” “Kahe Ko Byahi Bides,” and “Dekho Dekho Ji Gori Sasural Chali.” She was also involved in composing music for a Punjabi film.
Jagjit Kaur died on 15 August 2021 at the age of 91.
