About
Biography
Harnam Singh Namdhari belongs to a family-based tradition of Indian classical music and received his tabla training under his father, Ustad Harpreet Singh Namdhari. His musical activity is closely associated with classical gatherings organised within the Namdhari and Hindustani music circuits.
He is a regular performer at events such as the Satguru Jagjit Singh Sangeet Sammelan, where he appears as both a soloist and accompanist. He has provided tabla accompaniment for artists including sitarist Sri Shakir Khan.
His repertoire includes structured solo performances in established taals, such as Teental, alongside accompaniment in vocal and instrumental concerts. Through these appearances, Harnam Singh Namdhari represents a younger generation of tabla practitioners working within traditional performance frameworks.
