Harinie Jeevitha

Harinie Jeevitha Narasimhan (born 16 January 1995) is an Indian Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and author trained in the Melattur bani. She is a senior disciple of Sheela Unnikrishnan of Sridevi Nrithyalaya and began formal training at the age of six.

Within three months of commencing training, she performed a role in the production of Balaramayanam. She presented her first solo recital at the age of nine and completed her arangetram in 2006. Since then, she has been active in solo performances and ensemble dance-dramas.

Training and Style

Harinie is trained in the Melattur style of Bharatanatyam, known for its emphasis on structured margam presentation, expressive abhinaya, and traditional repertoire.

Her performances have been noted for the integration of nritta (pure dance), natya (dramatic expression), and abhinaya (interpretation). Critical commentary in The Hindu has described her stage presence in terms of grace and artistic maturity.

She had participated in eighteen dance-dramas choreographed by her guru before presenting her first independent production, Varadarajam Upasmahe, in 2023.
