Dr. Santosh Nahar

Santosh Kumar Nahar is one of the most talented and expressive violinists in the Hindustani classical tradition. Coming from a family deeply rooted in Indian classical music, he was trained by his father, Shri Prahlad Prasad Mishra, and later refined his skills under Shri T.M. Patnaik. His music beautifully blends the melodic, singing style of gayaki with the intricate, technical tantrakari style, creating performances full of emotion and brilliance. Known for his graceful improvisations and mastery of ragas, Santosh has performed at many prestigious music festivals across India. His ability to bring out the soul of each raga—from the serene beauty of Raga Yaman to the lively rhythm of Raga Kafi—makes his performances both traditional and refreshing, offering listeners a captivating experience of India’s rich musical heritage.
