Devaki Pandit is an accomplished Indian classical singer whose musical journey has been shaped by rigorous training, strong family influences, and lifelong dedication to sadhana. Born in Maharashtra, she grew up in a culturally rich environment surrounded by musicians, performers, and artists. Her early exposure to music within the family laid the foundation for a disciplined and spiritually oriented approach to singing.

Her initiation into music came from her mother, Usha Pandit, who instilled in her the fundamentals of swar, discipline, and perseverance. She received formal training from Vasantrao Kulkarni at a young age and later gained guidance from Babanrao Haldankar of the Agra Gharana and Arun Dravid. Her advanced and defining training came under two legendary figures of Hindustani music—Padma Vibhushan Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar and Padma Shri Jitendra Abhisheki—whose aesthetic philosophies and musical depth deeply influenced her gayaki.

Devaki Pandit began performing professionally at an early age and has since built a diverse and respected career spanning Hindustani classical concerts, playback singing, devotional music, and Marathi repertoire. She has collaborated with eminent personalities such as Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Naushad, Jaidev, Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulzar, Jatin–Lalit, Ustad Zakir Hussain, and Ustad Rais Khan across films, television, recordings, and live performances.

Her discography includes critically acclaimed classical albums, devotional and spiritual recordings, Marathi albums, and Hindi–Urdu works. She is particularly noted for her devotional compositions and renditions, including the Ram Raksha Stotra sung in multiple ragas, as well as original compositions such as Tana Riri. Her work reflects a balance of technical precision, emotional intensity, and spiritual intent.

Devaki Pandit’s contribution to Indian music has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Kesarbai Kerkar Scholarship (received twice consecutively), Maharashtra State Awards, and multiple honours for playback singing. With a career grounded in tradition and enriched by creative exploration, she continues to be a significant voice in Indian classical and devotional music.
