Biography
Deepthi Ravichandran is a Bharatanatyam practitioner trained under Padma Shri Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy. She has earlier been associated with the Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India and brings interdisciplinary experience through her training in yoga, Kalaripayattu, and Therukkoothu.
She is the co-founder and artistic director of Tvarita and works as a movement facilitator with institutions such as The Banyan and Cambridge Academy in Chennai. Alongside her performance career, she is engaged in community-oriented work, using Dance Movement Therapy sessions to create inclusive spaces for movement and expression across Chennai.
Over the years, Deepthi has presented more than 500 dance performances in India and abroad. Her recognitions include being empanelled as a Doordarshan artiste in 2018, receiving the Lakshmi Viswanathan Endowment Prize for Abhinaya from Krishna Gana Sabha in 2011, and the Best Supporting Actor (Female) award at the Kodai Nadaga Vizha in 2012, among several other honors.
