Chintoo Singh Wasir’s musical journey reflects a blend of lineage, versatility, and cross-cultural engagement. As the son of composer Mohinderjeet Singh, he was immersed in music from an early age and developed proficiency across multiple instruments, with particular distinction in rabab and guitar. His approach combines melodic sensitivity with a deep understanding of accompaniment, allowing him to adapt seamlessly to varied musical contexts.
He has shared the stage with some of the most respected voices in Indian music, including Mehdi Hassan, Jagjit Singh, and Ghulam Ali, contributing thoughtfully to their performances. Beyond Indian classical and ghazal traditions, his work also extends to international collaborations, having performed with global artists such as Shania Twain and Phil Collins.
