Chandrima Mazumdar

Dr. Chandrima Majumdar is a dedicated sarod exponent who belongs to the younger generation of Indian classical musicians and has steadily built a distinct identity through performance and scholarship. Her music focuses on compositions from the Shahjahanpur Gharana, where she explores the structure, history, and expressive depth of the tradition while sharing her own journey as a performer. She has appeared in All India Radio’s live concert series Swaranjali, where she performed with tabla accompaniment by Pandit Durjay Bhaumik.

She regularly performs at cultural festivals and institutions, including appearances at events such as the IIC Spring Festival, where she was accompanied by Ustad Akhtar Hassan, and other concerts featuring collaboration with artists like Kartik Bhat. Her musical journey is deeply rooted in the guru-shishya tradition, and she places strong importance on seeking guidance and blessings from her guru, especially on occasions such as Guru Purnima.
