Bihu Mukherjee, also known as Tamaghna Mukherjee, is an Indian percussionist, drummer, and performer active in the independent music scene and Bengali film industry. Known for his versatility, he works across Indian folk, Latin, jazz, and classical-influenced percussion, building a performance style that bridges multiple rhythmic traditions.
He has collaborated with a range of established artists and composers, including Pritam, Ranjit Barot, Sivamani, Louis Banks, and Usha Uthup. As a performing musician, he has been part of ensembles such as Sabor do Brasil, Paddy Trio, Los Companeros, and Villanos Para Bien, and has appeared at festivals including the Kolkata Jazz Festival and International Jazz Day.
In addition to his music career, Mukherjee has contributed to film and television, with acting roles in Bengali cinema and music composition for television projects. His work reflects a multidisciplinary approach, combining performance, collaboration, and media engagement within contemporary Indian music contexts.
