Biography
Dr. Arindam Bhattacharyya is a Hindustani classical vocalist and an ‘A’ Grade Artiste of All India Radio, Kolkata. He holds a doctorate in music from Rabindra Bharati University, where he also completed his higher studies, building a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical dimensions of Indian classical music. His early education was at Howrah Zilla School, from where his disciplined academic and artistic journey began.
He is associated with Ustad Rashid Khan’s Academy, The Fifth Note Global Centre of Excellence, where he works as a musician, contributing to the training and development of young learners in the classical tradition. His role reflects his commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists while staying rooted in rigorous practice.
Alongside his musical career, Dr. Bhattacharyya serves in Indian Railways, maintaining a rare harmony between professional responsibility and artistic dedication. Based in Kolkata, the city that shaped his cultural sensibility, he continues to perform, teach, and engage with classical music platforms.
His identity as an AIR ‘A’ Grade artist places him among the trusted voices of Hindustani vocal music. Married to Madhumita Guha, he carries forward his journey with balance, discipline, and purpose.
