Biography

Anna Rakita is an internationally active violinist, composer, and arranger known for her cross-genre approach combining classical, jazz, and world music influences. Originally from Moscow and trained at the Moscow State Conservatory, she has developed a performance style centered on improvisation, tonal expression, and collaborative exploration.

Her work includes performances across Europe and India, where she has collaborated with musicians such as Anton Davidyants, Rhythm Shaw, and Shrinidhi Ghatate. She has also been part of tribute concerts and interdisciplinary productions, including performances honoring mandolin maestro U. Shrinivas and projects involving global jazz artists.

As a recording artist, Rakita has released albums and singles, including Every Tomorrow (2019) and later works such as Nothing To Lose (2026). Her compositions and performances reflect an ongoing engagement with contemporary global music practices, while maintaining a strong foundation in classical violin training.
