Carnatic vocalist Anagha Manikandan, trained by her father Dr. T.V. Manikandan, performs concerts, broadcasts, and cultural programs globally. Awarded CCRT scholarship by Govt. of India.

Biography

Anagha Manikandan is trained in Carnatic vocal music under the guidance of her father, Guru Guruvayoor Dr. T. V. Manikandan. Her musical development reflects a lineage-based approach combined with institutional recognition through national platforms.

She is the winner of the National Yuva Pratibha Singing Talent Hunt (2023) and has received the Young Vocalist Award from Sanatan Sangit Samiti, as well as a gold medal for classical singing from Nehru Bal Samiti, Delhi. In 2012, she was awarded a scholarship by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Government of India.

Anagha performs regularly in Delhi and other cities, with appearances at venues such as Triveni Chamber Theater, Ilaya Bharatam, and the Delhi Tamil Sangam. She is scheduled to present a vocal recital at the India International Centre on 28 January 2026 as part of the IIC Double Bill series.

Her international engagements include representing India in Japan in 2019 and performing at the Malaysia International Carnatic Music Festival in 2021. She is also a regular panelist on Yuvavani on All India Radio. Through concerts, broadcasts, and cultural exchanges, Anagha Manikandan continues to build an active presence within the Carnatic music circuit.
