Biography
Akash Pattnaik is a Hindustani classical bansuri player. He is a senior disciple of Shri Himanshu Nanda and has developed his practice within the guru–shishya parampara. His repertoire includes raags such as Dhani and Madhukauns, presented in both solo and accompaniment formats.
He frequently performs alongside his guru at major concerts and festivals, including programs under the Mystic Bamboo banner. As of early 2026, he is scheduled to appear as a bansuri accompanist for Shri Himanshu Nanda at the Mystic Bamboo Festival in Pune on 1 February 2026.
Beyond performance, Pattnaik plays an educational role at The Mystic Bamboo Academy, where he mentors students of the bamboo flute. His work includes conducting workshops and vocal training sessions designed to help flautists understand swara placement and melodic structure.
