Abida Parveen stands as a defining figure in the preservation and global dissemination of Sufi music traditions. Her repertoire primarily centers on kafi, a solo vocal form accompanied by harmonium and percussion, while also encompassing ghazals, qawwali, khayal, and raga-based compositions.
