Biography
Aarchik Banerjee is a talented and promising young tabla player who is steadily making his mark in the world of Hindustani classical music. Born into a family of musicians—his father being the renowned tabla maestro Pandit Subhankar Banerjee and his mother, vocalist Smt. Nibedita Banerjee—Aarchik began performing at a very young age. Over the years, he has had the privilege of accompanying many great maestros, including Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, and has also given solo performances in prestigious venues across India and abroad, such as the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Francisco and Stanford University. A recipient of awards like the Telegraph School Award and the Times of India Award for Outstanding Talent in Music, Aarchik continues to impress audiences with his skill, dedication, and passion for the tabla, carrying forward the rich legacy of Indian classical rhythm.
